What does it mean to be a #HACK Champion?

A #HACK Champion is someone who hosts a #HACK event in their city or community.

As a Champion, they bring together developers, gamers, content creators, and many more to collaborate and build solutions that help take the gospel to new people, places, and spaces.

Champions lead the planning and execution of the event, while working closely with the #HACK Global Team for guidance, tools, and support.

Since 2016, #HACK Champions around the world have mobilized thousands of participants to turn ideas into real impact.

What You’ll Do as a #HACK Champion:

Plan and coordinate a #HACK local (or virtual) event for participants, including:

  • Coordinating with the #HACK Global Team to set up key tools like registration forms, Zoom links, and more.
  • Building a local team to help you plan and run the event.
  • Planning a venue, program, date/time, choice of challenge and #HACK type.
  • Inviting participants and keeping them informed throughout the journey.
  • Recruiting and connecting participants with mentors who can give guidance on their projects.

Update the #HACK Global Team about the details of the following areas of your #HACK:

  • City
  • Date/time
  • Type of #HACK 
  • Registration Link

Provide the following information to the #HACK Global Team at the end of the #HACK event:

  • City 
  • Date
  • Number of Participants
  • Projects you worked on
  • Story of what happened (highlight)
