• What is a Hackathon?

A combination of the words “hack” and marathon a hackathon is an event with a specific focus during which people in the tech and adjacent industries collaborate to create solutions to specific challenges. This hands-on event is for computer programmers, developers, engineers, user experience specialists, project managers and others. People with technical backgrounds come together, form teams around a problem or idea, and collaboratively develop a unique solution.
